Testing Hardware
With over 16 years experience primarily testing hardware Enex staff have a wealth of experience in creating testing methodologies for a range of physical devices, from servers through to wireless LAN infrastructure.
One of the routine roles we perform in the lab is procurement/tender testing for corporates and government departments. For the sake of probity it is best to contract the lab to independently test and assess each of the shortlisted vendors for features, futureproofing, interoperability, performance, durability, reliability, quality of workmanship, Return on Investment (ROI) and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
The lab performs comparative testing for both vendors, corporate and government clients. For vendors testing is mainly around Research and Development (R&D) processes to see where that client product fits in their chosen market at any given time and to provide feedback on where they may need to improve their product or show where they lead the field. For corporate and government clients they are more interested in ensuring a given technology closely matches their environment, scenario and requirements. This also ensures that the products live up to their respective vendors' marketing hype.
Independent proof of concept testing is another task the lab regularly performs for Venture Capital enterprises and also start-ups. Recent testing has included various security devices and concepts as well as a range of wireless data technologies.
